Category. Critically endangered species. It was collected only in Aragats massif. The extent of occurrence and the area of occupancy are less than 10 km2. The species is on the verge of extinction caused by climate change. It was not included in the first edition of the Red Data Book of Armenia. It is not included in the Annexes of CITES and that of the Bern Convention.

Description. Laxly caespitose perennial plant 10–15 cm. Leaves obovate, 10–35 x 3–12 mm, grandidentate, narrowed into petiole. Scapes leafless, 2–2,5 cm. Flowers yellow. Silicle 6–13 mm long, glabrous.

Distribution. In Armenia it occurs in Aragats floristic region. AOO is 4 km2, the number of locations is 1. It is distributed in the Greater Caucasus, West, Central, East, South–East Transcaucasia, and North– East Anatolia.

Ecological, biological and phytocoenological peculiarities. Grows in alpine belt, at the altitudes of 3000–3300 meters above sea level, on screes and stony places. Flowering in June, fruiting in July.

Limiting factors. Restricted extent of occurrence and area of occupancy, global climate change.

Conservation actions. No conservation actions. Necessary: survey on population numbers and range, search of new habitats, monitoring of the state of the population.
